The smart folks in this world seem to be focusing a lot of energy into getting robots into our homes, and the folks at the Advanced Control Lab at National Taiwan University have come up with a household entertainment robot called JULIA that can sing and even dance. Users will be able to interact with JULIA via voice commands or touchscreen. The display on JULIA is able to display various kinds of information from your home media server. You could even upgrade your house with sensors to turn it into a smart home environment that is capable of communicating with the robot, allowing JULIA to perform guard duty when you’re away from home. Would you be comfortable with a robot moseying around your home when you’re away?
