KDDI Shows Its Summer Phone Line-up In Japan

KDDI, Japan’s second largest mobile company, has unveiled 10 new cell phones in its summer line-up, and as usual for phones from Japan, they’re touting 12-13 megapixel cameras, and that’s making us drool. We’re not entirely sure why the majority of them are waterproof, but maybe folks over there are prone to dropping their cell phones into puddles? Models include:

  • Hitachi Beskey: 3.2-inch LCD display, 8-megapixel camera, SD card slot, replaceable keypad, waterproof
  • Casio Exilim CA005: 3.2-inch LCD display, 13-megapixel camera, SD card slot, waterproof
  • Sony Ericsson Cybershot S003: 3.2-inch display, 12.1-megapixel camera with Exmor sensor, waterproof slider phone
  • Sharp AQUOS Shot SH008: 3.4-inch display, Wi-Fi, 12.1-megapixel camera, waterproof
  • Toshiba REGZA Phone T004: 3.2-inch display, 1GHz Snapdragon processor, 12-megapixel camera, Qosmio and Dynabook connectivity
  • Sony Ericsson BRAVIA Phone S004: 3.2-inch display, 1GHz Snapdragon processor, 8-megapixel camera, waterproof
  • Sharp Solar Phone SH007: 3.2-inch display, 8-megapixel camera, solar charging
  • Sanyo SA002: 3-inch display, 8-megapixel camera, SD card slot, waterproof
