So what are the safety precautions? Well, the drive bears the FIPS 140-2 Level 3 seal of approval. For your reference, Level 2 means that the data is securely encrypted, while Level 3 makes it rather obvious if someone tried to open or tamper with the drive. Aside from that, the on-board Bluefly security processor manages authorization to reduce the risk of malware and spoofing. The drive can even be mounted in read-only mode, or run anti-malware and antivirus programs to further ensure the integrity of its contents. This drive is able to store the profiles of up to 10 users who are allowed to use the drive, and that’s where the biometric fingerprint scanner comes into play.
