The common complaint about SSD drives are their small storage capacities. Now OCZ might have the SSD drives to tackle said problem as it has bumped the storage capacity of its Agility 2 and Vertex 2 drives to 400GB and 480GB, large enough to store some serious data. Both drives are quite similar, fitting into any 2.5-inch SATA drive bay and offer read and write speeds of 250MB/sec and 240MB/sec respectively. The main difference is that the Vertex 2 offers random writes at 22,500 IOPS (input/output operations per second) while the Agility 2 maxes out at 10,000 IOPS. Pricing or availability on these drives weren’t mentioned, but hopefully you’ve got enough pennies stashed away when they’re released.
