Sony Ericsson ready for X10 family to receive Android 2.1 update this Q4

Do you happen to own a device from the X10 family of smartphones from Sony Ericsson? If you have answered in the affirmative, we are pleased to bring you news that the Android 2.1 update will be made available sometime at the end of this year, where users will be able to take advantage of new features such as HD video recording while making sure the Android 1.6 OS remains all but a distant memory. Just in case you aren’t well versed with what the X10 family comprises of, it will come in the form of the X10, X10 Mini and X10 Mini Pro. Guess Q4 2010 can’t come quite fast enough for you, eh? Why not make the full jump to Android 2.2 (Froyo) instead, we don’t know.
