Southpaw DIY glove boasts sonar range finder

DIY enthusiasts with a slant for tech might want to check out the DIY project known as Southpaw, where it comes with a sonar range finder as well as a tiny integrated LCD display. What does it do? No, it does not answer phone calls, and neither is it capable of checking email on your behalf, but what it does would be to let you know the distance to an object simply by pointing at it. This is made possible thanks to a LilyPad Arduino which will convert the sonar range finder data into length values.
