Considering that Verizon recently ditched plans for Google’s Nexus One in favor of the Droid Incredible, it shouldn’t be too surprising to hear that Sprint has decided to drop the Google phone in favor of its HTC EVO 4G. This news comes despite the recent announcement from Sprint that it would be offering the Nexus One. This move does make sense, though, as the HTC EVO 4G is a lot more powerful than the Nexus One, with the main difference to end users being the lack of Google’s branding on the phone.
