Just when you thought that a regular Mobile Internet Device (MID) does nothing but basic computing tasks, along comes the Syncme MID618 that is full well capable of making and receiving phone calls. Running on Windows Mobile 6.1 (that’s really behind the times as Windows Mobile 6.5 has been out for quite some time already), the Syncme MID618 sports a 4.8” touchscreen display at 800 x 480 resolution, a 667MHz Samsung 6410 processor, 256MB RAM and 2GB ROM. Heck, you even get TV support just in case things get a little bit boring on your travels, and you’re sick and tired of tuning in to an Internet radio station courtesy of its built-in 3G connectivity. When you’re at Starbuck, you can use its Wi-Fi function as well without a hitch. Going for approximately $585 after conversion, we think that this is in no man’s land since it is too large to be a phone, and too small to be a decent MID.
