T-Mobile And Virgin Media Snap Up The HTC Wildfire

Looks like it didn’t take long for the newly-announcedHTC Wildfire to be snapped up by a carrier, as T-Mobile UK and Virgin Media have both confirmed that they will be offering the device in the UK. This scaled down version of the HTC Desire will be available in the UK from June 14th, and T-Mobile will let you have the phone if you commit to a £20/month plan for two-years. While details of the rate plans weren’t mentioned, we’re hoping for one that includes unlimited data, along with a generous serving of calls and texts. In case you need a reminder of why this may be the phone for you, it’ll include:

  • App Sharing application for sharing Android apps with friends
  • Friend Stream, to bring social networking updates together in one screen
  • 5-Megapixel camera
  • 3.2 inch touchscreen
  • Preloaded with Facebook, Twitter and Flickr applications
  • MS Active Sync for easy synching with work and personal email
  • HSDPA
  • MP3 player and radio
  • Optical mouse navigation
  • Android 2.1
  • Weight: 118g
