Telekom Austria decided that public phones are more or less obsolete with the abundance of cellphones, so why not turn these once well-used booths into an EV (Electric Vehicle) recharge station? They hope to introduce up to 30 of these EV recharging stations before the year is over, where each of them can power an electric/hybrid vehicle in Austria without costing a bomb. In its initial testing phase, you will be able to enjoy free recharging, but even after they start charging you money per juicing session, it will still remain at a single-digit Euro cost.
