Tweetdeck Planning To Churn Out An Android App

When Twitter decided to release its official Twitter app for Google’s Android OS, many of the Twitter apps out there suddenly didn’t seem so important, but Tweetdeck has always been popular, and now they’re planning to churn out an Android version of the app. One of the aims of the program is to go easy on your battery life, which means that the app won’t be running in the background, whether that’s a good thing for you or not will remain to be seen. Are you planning to give Tweetdeck a try when it’s released for Android, or are you happy with what you already have? Considering that Twitter for Android only supports devices running Android 2.1 and above, Tweetdeck might be able to pull something off if it supports older Android versions as well.
