Android 2.1 hits 50% mark in market share among Android versions

Here’s a post for those who are extremely concerned about statistics as well as figures. There are many Android versions out there at the moment, leaving the scene to be rather fragmented. Android 2.1 has certainly picked up steam though, with the operating system hitting 50% of all Android-powered devices, although versions 1.5 and 1.6 still ain’t too bad, accounting for more or less the remaining half. Hopefully as time progresses, more and more relevant updates (2.1 or 2.2) will bring everyone up to the same level – oh yeah, except for T-Mobile G1 users.
