The Archos 5 Internet tablet is a decent portable media player, although it hasn’t lit up the world with its Web browsing capability, and it isn’t exactly the best platform to play games on it where Android-powered devices are concerned. Archos has decided to fix this issue with a software update which adds support for OpenGL, which basically means you are able to enjoy 3D games such as Speed Forge 3D without hitting any speed bumps. For those who are interested in bumping their Archos 5 up to the latest firmware version, you can always download it here. Make sure you make a backup of all your data before taking the plunge!
