Asus Announces Its CG8490 RoG Gaming Desktop At Computex

When it comes to Asus’ RoG (Republic of Gamers) line of products, you know that they’re serious about gaming. Another gem that the Taiwanese computing giant has unveiled at Computex is the CG8490 gaming computer. One glance at this beast and you can see that it means business. If the chassis, that Asus claims draws inspiration from ancient and modern Eastern and Western cultures, didn’t do it for you, the specifications should, not to mention it can overclock itself up to 20 percent thanks to its balanced overclocking ability. Specifications include:

  • Six-core Intel Core i7-980X Extreme Edition CPU
  • 12GB of DDR3 RAM
  • 2TB worth of hard drive space
  • Dual overclocked Radeon HD5870 graphics cards that support DirectX 11 and Eyefinity
