AUO 2.4-inch Transparent Multi-touch AMOLED Display

Personal GPS navigation devices are nice, but what if we could have them integrated into your car’s windshield display instead? Display Taiwan is working on the AUO 2.4-inch transparent AMOLED multi-touch display that was demoed, and as can be seen in the video (after the jump), it is pretty much transparent; though we’re not sure if you can safely drive if your windscreen looked like this. It’s still a prototype at the moment, but the company is busy working on a 4-inch and 7-inch version. Do you think our GPS devices in the future will have their displays integrated into the windscreen of our cars? It would certainly make stealing GPS devices a lot harder, at the very least.
