Word is that RIM is gearing up to announce its latest update to its mobile marketplace, dubbed App World 2.0. Improvements in App World 2.0 apparently include carrier billing, improved search, QR code support, a more detailed “My World” section, interface improvements and BlackBerry ID. The BlackBerry ID is designed to help users manage their accounts more easily and transfer between devices and carriers if need be. We’re still waiting for an official press release, but hopefully RIM won’t be taking its own sweet time in announcing this.
