After watching James Cameron’s Avatar, are you planning to shoot all your future home videos in 3D? The folks over at Hammacher Schlemmer have started selling a 3D camcorder that is capable of recording 3D video at 640 x 480 pixel resolutions. While that’s a nice feat, the interesting part is that users will be able to even see the resulting 3D content directly on the device’s screen, without having to wear any of those ugly 3D glasses, meaning its display functions quite similarly to that of Nintendo’s recently announced 3DS. When used with a 4GB SD card, this $600 camcorder uses its two lenses and 3-megapixel sensor to record up to four hours of 3D video. You’re able to capture 2D and 3D still images, as well as 2D videos as well. Pretty interesting for such a compact device, though you’ll have to decide if you’re willing to fork out $600 for it.
