Coke vending machines in Japan to get LCD touch panels

Touchscreens will take over Japan by the end of the year as all new Coca-Cola vending machines will feature a 46″ LCD touch panels instead of buttons and knobs, standing tall at a meter high and 57cm wide. The whole idea for this upgraded machine would be to make the purchase of drinks more fun while ensruring it stands out from the rest of the numerous vending machines throughout the country. Apart from that, the integration of LCD panels will provide another opportunity for advertisers to expand their reach, not to mention having the display show off maps of the surrounding area that ought to come in useful for tourists and outstation folks alike.
