HTC has been enjoying quite a bit of success with the HTC Desire, Droid Incredible and EVO 4G recently, but a little disappointing bit of news has surfaced related to the Droid Incredible, and it might be related to HTC’s Sense UI too. According to reports, the Incredible will periodically store screenshots of the contents of your web browser, which is understandable, considering that the HTC Sense UI bookmark widget would probably use it. The issue is that these captured screenshots remain in your phone even after your current browser session is closed, after you clear your browser history, and even after a full factory reset! If you’re the type of person who browses sites with sensitive information, such as banking sites, or Facebook, you might be troubled to know that such screenshots could be captured and stored in the phone’s .bookmark_thumb1 folder. Considering that it’s stored in the phone’s internal memory, you would really expect a factory reset to wipe it, especially since you might have to send your phone in for servicing in the event of a problem. Some readers are also claiming that they see the same situation happening on their HTC Desire and Droid Eris, but not on a Motorola Droid. Is this an Android issue, or an issue related to HTC’s Sense UI?
