
Verizon Wireless seems to have finally put the Droid Eris out of its misery as the mobile carrier is not offering this smartphone any more. Even if you look hard enough all over their site for the Droid Eris, you will find only past support documents and accessories, but not the handset itself. What do you think – will the world miss the Droid Eris, or are they too enamoured by the new iPhone 4 to care? Sad to see a phone having such a short shelf life on a carrier, and we would be interested to see just what kind of dismal sales figures the Droid Eris was associated with to justify its early demise.
