Dropcam Echo just launched

Dropcam, the “drop and forget” webcam is getting an upgrade today: the new model is called DropCam Echo and it add audio support (see microphone above), that can be heard while viewing remotely on iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch. Other than that, the service stays the same: Dropcam is easy to install and will let you monitor what’s going on remotely. Because the service goes through a Dropcam server, there is no complicated networking setup to do on the user end. You can receive alerts (sms/email) when stuff move around. It is also possible to continuously record video for 7 days ($8.95/mo) or 30 days ($24.95/mo). Live viewing and alerts are free. For more information, check Dropcam.com.
