You might remember the First ELSE handset that appeared some time back. It had a pretty cool interface, and a stylish design. Sadly, after many million dollars of investment, Emblaze, the company behind it, has announced that it’s dropping any further investment toward the manufacturing of the device and will instead focus on licensing the ELSE Intuition platform and technology. It’s quite disappointing, but maybe we’ll see the First ELSE’s pretty interface show up on another device in the future. The statement from Emblaze reads:
“Due to critical delays in deliveries and the current status of the project, the board has now decided to cease any further investment towards manufacturing of the First ELSE mobile device and to concentrate efforts only on licensing the ELSE Intuition platform and technology in order to realize its potential upside.”
