Folks who own late-model Ford vehicles that are equipped with SYNC, Traffic, Directions and Information(TDI) should be happy to hear that they will soon be able to plot out their routes using Google Maps on their home computer, and have the turn-by-turn directions downloaded directly into the car. This is a recent addition that uses a GPS receiver, allowing SYNC-equipped cars and trucks to provide directions, even if the vehicle itself doesn’t have the full map navigation system in place. In order to use the “Send to SYNC” feature, users will need to register online at syncmyride.com. The ability to send Google directions to SYNC TDI will be launched later this month, so stay tuned!
