Google Nexus One Gets 720p Video Recording Thanks To CyanogenMod

With the release of the HTC EVO 4G and HTC Droid Incredible, many folks proclaimed that the Nexus One is on its way out, but the hacking community is still very fond of the Google Phone, and thanks to the CyanogenMod (version 5.0.8test3 and above), the Nexus One is able to capture videos in 720p. This hack doesn’t seem to work in Android 2.2 FroYo just yet, but you can be sure that the creators of this hack are busy working on a version that supports Android 2.2. Do you think the ability to shoot 720p video using your Nexus One will breathe new life into the device? Sample video after the jump, remember to click on the 720p toggle.
