HP Acquires Melodeo And The nuTsie Service

HP does seem to be in the mood for acquisitions recently, and now the computing giant has snapped up Melodeo, the parent company of the nuTsie music streaming service, reportedly for a sum between $30m-$35m. The service is similar to Apple’s Lala or Pandora, streaming music to mobile devices from the cloud, but it’s able to scan your iTunes playlists and allow you to access those playlists on your mobile device in shuffle mode. Of course, the question that everybody is asking will be what HP is planning to do with this new acquisition. Will we be seeing a new music streaming service that’s exclusive to webOS or something totally different?
