Word is out that HP is preparing to debut an interesting new line of web-connected printers, making it easier to print documents directly from your mobile device. How will this be achieved? Well, the cool part is that each printer will be assigned its own unique email address, allowing users to email documents or photos directly to the printer, so you can send a print job while you’re away from home and have the print job ready when you reach home. The new range of printers will cost $100-$400 which shouldn’t break the bank. HP is also planning to launch a suite of web-based services to complement these printers, allowing partners to build software and services for its web printers. That being said, will that mean in the future we’ll have to safeguard our printer’s email address? Imagine if spam companies got hold of it and were able to pump thousands of irritating ads into your printer, having them printed directly into your home at your expense. Now that would be a messy situation, wouldn’t it?
