iPhone 4 Confirmed To Have 512MB RAM, Double That Of The iPad

Apple generally doesn’t list the nitty gritty specifications of its iPhone on its site, as it’s probably trying to make things easier for consumers, without having to worry about the device’s hardware. That being said, there are still plenty of us out there who are always keen to find out what’s running under the hood, and now word is out that the upcoming iPhone 4 will boast 512MB of RAM, which is double what the iPad and iPhone 3GS offers. The increase in RAM might go some way to explaining why Apple said that iMovie would only run on the iPhone 4, and not the 3GS or iPad, since RAM will probably play an important role when you’re fiddling with your homemade videos. Does the RAM information change any decisions you had about the iPhone 4?
