Apple has just announced that their iPhone 4 is a resounding success, moving a cool 1.7 million units a mere three days after it was launched on June 24th. According to Steve Jobs, “This is the most successful product launch in Apple’s history. Even so, we apologize to those customers who were turned away because we did not have enough supply.” Currently, the iPhone 4 is also available in the UK, France, Germany and Japan, where it will also make an appearance in another 18 countries before July ends, including Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, Hong Kong, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, New Zealand, Singapore, South Korea, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland. Good to see the iPhone 4 continue the trend of its predecessors when it comes to sales figures, and we don’t think it will slow down anytime soon, either. Time to see a response in terms of sales figures from the iPhone’s rivals. [Press Release]
