AT&T’s Apple-related system woes seem to be continuing, as word on the street is that many AT&T subscribers who managed to pre-order the iPhone 4 are getting their pre-orders canceled. This could be related to the recent identity mix up in AT&T’s system, with some subscribers commenting that they had apparently exceeded the number of lines of service that they were allowed to purchase online. Details are still quite sketchy at the moment, but AT&T has responded to this issue stating:
“Some customers who ordered online did not receive their order confirmation from AT&T yesterday, so they placed a second order,” a spokesman said. “These customers can rest assured their order has been placed. We simply balanced out the system on our end to reflect a single order. We are emailing these customers.”
