This is literally a green lamp – after all, it doesn’t get any greener than running on the photosynthesis process instead of solar power or batteries. Designer Mike Thompson came up with the idea for the Latro Lamp, where energy is stored from algae during the day, so that your night time will be made brighter thanks to its time released light. The materials required? Some CO2, water and natural light, and you’re good to go. We suppose if the Latro Lamp ever takes off, then this idea would not appeal to those who lack green thumbs.
