Microsoft power slashing app

Microsoft takes up the green initiative by offering a new sleep proxy system which actually enables you to turn your PC off or put it in Stand By mode, despite being still able to access everything you need whenever you need it remotely. Basically, research has shown that this move will reduce power consumption anywhere from 60% to 80%. We do wonder whether security of the computer will be compromised more easily in this manner though.
