
The leaks and rumors have been going around for some time now, but the Motorola Droid X has finally been unveiled, and we’ve got the specifications, details and price plans. The Droid X will set you back $199 after a $100 mail-in rebate, and an unlimited data plan will set you back $29.99 a month, not to mention an additional $19.99 a month if you want to be able to have up to five Wi-Fi enabled devices connect to this phone. The downside is that the tethering option has a 2GB cap, and will cost you five cents for each MB of overage. The Droid X will be launching on July 15th. Specifications of the Motorola Droid X include:
- 4.3-inch 854 x 480 pixel touchscreen display
- 720p video recording
- 8-megapixel camera with dual LED flash
- 1GHz processor
- HDMI output
- Android 2.1 at launch, but will be upgraded to version 2.2 in late summer
- New version of MotoBLUR
- 8GB on-board memory and bundled with 16GB microSD card
- 3 microphones, with one used for noise cancellation
- Ships with Swype input method
