Motorola FLIPOUT Goes Official

You’ve seen the previous pictures of the Motorola FLIPOUT before this, and if you’re determined to get a cell phone that has a different form factor from everybody else, this is a phone you’d want to check out. The device has been officially announced by Motorola today, and a promotional video (available after the jump) has also been put up. Specifications of this device are pretty standard nowadays, so it’ll remain to be seen how well folks take to the MOTOBLUR user interface enhancements by Motorola. The device will be available in Europe sometime this quarter, though details on a US release weren’t mentioned. Specifications of the Motorola FLIPOUT include:

  • 7.2Mbps HSDPA
  • 2.8-inch QVGA display
  • 3-megapixel camera
  • 512MB internal memory
  • Android 2.1
  • microSD card expansion
  • 1170mAh battery
