Nintendo 3DS to be on par with PS3 and Xbox 360 processing speeds

Yes, you’d better read through the headlines again. It seems that several developers have let the cat out of the bag that the upcoming Nintendo 3DS will feature processing speeds that are on par with the PS3 and Xbox 360 consoles, where both far exceed the Nintendo Wii. Rumors abound that the Nintendo 3DS will sport an NVIDIA Tegra chip, but IGN’s developer sources claim that those are false. Still, nothing official has been released from Nintendo just yet, but if the 3DS is anything that the developers claim it to be, we could be looking at a real visual treat in the near future from the masters of handheld consoles. How will Sony react to such a console in the market?
