PlayStation 3 System Software Update v3.40 coming soon

PS3 owners, listen up! There will be version 3.4 of the system software coming your way in the near future, where among the new features include PlayStation Plus subscription as well as enhancements to the connection between your PlayStation Network and Facebook accounts amongs others. To get into the nitty gritty, some of the highlights from PS3 firmware update 4.3 include PlayStation Plus, Photo Gallery that lets you upload, browse and comment on photos located on Facebook and Picasa, a Video Editor & Uploader which adds another dimension to edit, save and upload videos stored on your PS3 onto various sites such as YouTube and Facebook, a Power Save Setting that improves power save features, a Five Star Rating support to add further credibility to software you purchase via a rating system. As a sidenote, the system software update (v6.30) for the PSP will also roll out simultaneously just in case you happen to own both consoles. There will also be a separate PlayStation Network application on Facebook.com to make this a truly interconnected generation.
