
RIM has achieved a new milestone by shipping 11.2 million BlackBerries in its spring quarter, wheer in the process also saw the company break the 100 million BlackBerry mark since it started selling such smartphones to the masses. Out of this figure, around 4.9 million were new to BlackBerry service, while 46 million BlackBerry accounts are still active. RIM paid tribute to sales outside of North America for this phenomenal figure, making up around 40% of sales from outside the area.
