The Samsung i5800 Galaxy 3 which ought to hit the market this coming July is on track with its release date, but that doesn’t mean the expected retail price remains the same. In fact, we are bearers of bad news that the price will be more expensive than initially thought, where this Android 2.1 device will cost around $450 in Russia after conversion. For that kind of dough, you get a 3.2″ WQVGA touchscreen display, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and HSDPA connectivity, A-GPS navigation, a 3.5mm headset jack, a 3.2-megapixel autofocus camera and 170MB of internal memory to begin with. In contrast, the Nokia N8 is going for around $80 cheaper than the Galaxy 3 in that part of the world, and unless you really have a strong penchant for Android, it might make more financial sense to choose the Nokia considering the specifications involved.
