Samsung has announced its latest internal Blu-ray disc combo for computers, the SH-B123, touted to have the fastest Blu-ray read speed of up to 12X, and is also capable of reading and writing to CD/DVDs. The Korean company has also shipped its slim SE-S084D external DVD writer for notebooks, which is available in seven colors. Samsung claims that this design is 20 percent smaller and 25 percent lighter than conventional DVD writers, and is powered by a USB 2.0 connection. The SE-S084D will be shipping later this week at $70, while the SH-B123 will be shipping in July for an undisclosed price.
