Samsung N220 and N230 netbooks hit the US

Samsung’s N220 and N230 netbooks are finally ready to hit prime time in the US after being introduced at Computex 2010, where both of them will share pretty similar specifications in the form of a 10″ display, an Intel Atom N450 1.66GHz processor, 1GB RAM, a 250GB hard drive and Windows 7 as the operating system of choice. The N230 will be the lighter one among the two, tipping the scales at 2.2 lbs while the N220 weighs 2.9 lbs. Not only that, the Samsung N230 ought to last up to 7 hours of normal use, sporting a glossy black finish, while the N220 has a polished green gradated color with chrome access. Expect to pick up either model from next month onwards, with the Samsung N230 and N220 retailing for $369 and $399, respectively. Sounds like pretty run-of-the-mill stuff, although we would like to have seen more RAM thrown into the stock model for added punch.
