SkypeKit gives developers new impetus for Skype integration

Skype has just launched a new collection of software and APIs dubbed SkypeKit, giving developers the chance to integrate Skype video and audio chat into just about any capable Web-connected device while sporting their own custom interface. The SkypeKit was also designed to play nice with a wide variety of chipsets, operating systems, and audio/video devices. It is more or less a “headless” version of Skype, running in the background without any user display, which in turn offers developers the chance to deliver Skype functionality through their own products’ interfaces. Just what kind of devices would you like to see Skype integrated within?
