Slingbox users who own Android-powered devices will be glad to hear that Sling Media has confirmed that the Android version of its SlingPlayer Mobile app has officially launched for Android-devices, allowing users to remotely access their Slingbox set-top box via 3G or Wi-Fi networks. Aside from streaming video, the app allows the user full control over the Slingbox interface, giving them the ability to navigate between channels, access video-on-demand content, control the DVR feature, or enjoy pay-per-view videos. It’s already available in the Android Market, and will lighten your wallet by $30.
