Sony Ericsson Xperia X8 Goes Official

With the official pictures recently leaked, we knew that the official announcement of the Sony Ericsson Xperia X8 (Shakira) was just around the corner, and now it’s official. Specifications are nothing to shout about, especially since it’s powered by the aging Android 1.6, albeit with Sony Ericsson’s customized skin, and a 600MHz processor. That being said, being part of the Xperia line, it’ll be an interesting device, especially since it won’t break the bank at EUR259 ($318). The Xperia X8 will be launched in Q3 this year, and specifications of it include:

  • 600MHz CPU
  • 1,200mAh battery
  • 3.2-megapixel camera
  • Bluetooth
  • FM radio
  • A-GPS
  • Flight mode
  • Google Maps
  • 3.5mm audio jack
  • 3-inch 320 x 480 pixel display
  • microSD card support up to 16GB
  • 2GB microSD card bundled
