We covered news concerning Sprint’s Android customizations that led to security compromise for the HTC Evo 4G yesterday, and it seems that the folks over at Sprint have been pretty efficient to ensure nothing like it happens today by rolling out an Over The Air update for the Evo 4G from today onwards. This update will block access to systems which enable users to complete the rooting process, not to mention being able to activate the 4G hotspot feature free of charge. After all, the $30 monthly charge for the service is a potentially lucrative revenue stream for Sprint, so the company will more or less do its best to prevent users from accessing the feature for free.
