Toshiba AC100 Android-powered netbook to hit the UK

Toshiba UK has just rolled out its first Android-powered netbook, where it comes in the form of the AC100. What makes the AC100 different from all the others would be the obvious use of Google’s hot mobile operating system, where it supposedly makes browsing, networking and editing a whole lot easier. Not only that, with up to 7 days of battery life, you can be sure that this is one long lasting machine – perfect for folks who tend to do a whole lot of traveling and yet have very few opportunities to juice up the AC100 in between. If you’re going to use it for a trans-Atlantic flight, it ought to be able to keep you company for at least 8 hours before running out of juice. Features include a 10.1″ LED display, 802.11n Wi-Fi connectivity, NVIDIA’s Tegra chipset, 8GB of internal flash memory, 512MB RAM, a 1.3-megapixel camera and Bluetooth 2.1 capability. Nice to see a HDMI port included for you to view high definition video over a nice, flat big screen TV. Arriving in August this year, there is no word on pricing just yet.
