WWDC: iBooks Update Announced, PDF Files Supported

With the success of Apple’s iPad, it’s no surprise that the fruity company has announced that there are some updates for its iBook app at WWDC. The changes should be rather useful ones, including the ability to make notes in the book, a new bookmark ribbon, a page to display your notes and bookmarks, and finally PDF support. Do you think this will tip the eBook reader battle in the iPad’s favor?

Update: iBooks is now available on the iPhone and iPod touch. All the latest features mentioned above will also be included, and you’ll be able to download the same book to all your devices at no extra charge, bookmarks will even be synced automatically.
