Amazon has just announced that its popular Kindle DX eBook reader has gotten an upgrade. The updated unit offers a new graphite colored enclosure, 50 percent improved contrast, and a $379 price tag, which is a lot lower than the $489 price when it was first introduced. Other specifications are pretty much the same, with it still offering a 9.7-inch E-Ink display and free 3G wireless connectivity. Pre-orders are already being accepted, but you’ll have to wait until July 7th for it to begin shipping.
