Amazon.com recently introduced a new service which aims to leverage customers’ pool of Facebook friends where product recommendations are concerned. This is a beta program that hit the US yesterday, where you are encouraged to log in to your Facebook profile via the e-commerce site, sending Amazon your personal information as well as friends and products for which you and your friends are interested in, or at least have a soft spot for. This new system, known as the “Amazon Facebook Page,” will include suggestions of popular products by users among Facebook friends. Will this improve your online shopping experience?
