In case you didn’t already know, Apple has recently agreed to provide free bumper cases to iPhone 4 owners who purchased their device before September 30th. Now the fruity company has begun to send out notices to users who are eligible, and according to the wording on the notice, it should be processed automatically. The move to offer free bumpers to iPhone 4 owners is estimated to cost Apple a good $175 million in cash, which is a significant sum, but hopefully it’ll go some way to helping Apple sort out the Death Grip issue with the iPhone 4.
