Folks who own or use Apple’s Time Capsule Wi-Fi router/backup drive might have heard of many complaints from various users a while back, stating that their Time Capsules suddenly died on them. If you’re unfortunate enough to encounter such an issue with your Time Capsule, you might want to take note that Apple has issued a Knowledge Base article calling for a recall for certain Time Capsules sold between February and June of 2008, due to the aforementioned problems. In case you’re too busy to check out the Knowledge Base article, you should check if your Time Capsule sports a serial number in the range of XX807XXXXXX – XX814XXXXXX and is encountering issues. If it does, you’ll probably want to contact your local Apple store, or an Apple Authorized Service Provider and arrange for Apple to repair or replace the faulty unit.
