Asus Eee PC 1001PQ has unusual lid design

The Asus Eee PC 1001PQ has pretty much standard specifications where a netbook is concerned, featuring staples like an Intel Atom N450 1.66GHZ processor, a 10.1″ display at 1024 x 600 resolution, 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 2.1 connectivity as well as a choice between a 3- or 6-cell battery. What makes it stand out from the crowd would be its rather different netbook lid design, coming in either “Flame Purple” or Vibrant Gold” (as seen above) colors. Not only that, you will also find a set of stickers for you to customize the lid design according to your preference. Pre-adolescents are the target market crowd for the 1001PQ, although we’re quite sure some of you out there won’t mind toting one of these puppies around. Small kids should be using the family computer so that parents can supervise just which sites they’re visiting instead of having a netbook they call their own.
